Football picks. Ha!

It’s going to be very hard to beat last year’s performance.  I had several 4-0 weeks and ended the season at 64-22 (.744!).  I also correctly picked the Grey Cup teams (Calgary and Hamilton) and the winner (Calgary) before the season even started!

With the arrival of the 2015 season my slate is wiped clean.  Here’s who I have for Week 1:

Ottawa @ Montreal: Thursday, June 25 (7:30pm EDT)

Pick: Montreal

It’s tough to win in Montreal, tougher if it’s only your second year of existence.

Hamilton @ Calgary: Friday, June 26 (9:00pm EDT)

Pick: Calgary

The annual Grey Cup rematch and it should be a dandy.  While I am claiming Hamilton will have all the marbles by season’s end, I have to take Calgary right now given the injuries to the Cats and home field advantage.

Edmonton @ Toronto: Saturday, June 27 (5:00pm EDT)

Pick: Edmonton

Edmonton @ Toronto?  Pfft.  Toronto’s in Edmonton’s backyard.  What a joke for the Argos but I imagine the league is compensating them well.  No Ricky Ray makes this the slam dunk game of the week.

Winnipeg @ Saskatchewan: Saturday, June 27 (8:00pm EDT)

Pick: Saskatchewan

I read somewhere this week that Winnipeg hasn’t won in SK in over 10 years.  Guess what?  Not this week either.  D’oh!
