Week 3 Picks

I chickened out at the last minute this past week and took BC to beat Ottawa.  That cost me $56 on a very juicy three game pro-line ticket.  Always go with your sports gut!

Ottawa @ Edmonton: Thursday, July 9 (9:00pm EDT)

Pick: Ottawa

Because they’re 2-0 and Edmonton is without their starting QB.  Bodog has Ottawa as 6 point underdogs, take them to at least cover.

Winnipeg @ Montreal: Friday, July 10 (7:00pm EDT)

Pick: Montreal

I can’t stand Montreal.  They find ways to win when they should scraping mold off the league basement.  Winnipeg’s defence couldn’t stop the French Army and Montreal’s has been exceedingly stingy.  I don’t like Bombers’s secondary and I like what I saw from Cato.  I’ve flipped flopped on this game twice now.

Saskatchewan @ BC: Friday, July 10 (10:00pm EDT)

Pick: Saskatchewan

Sask didn’t look so bad with ‘ol Kevin last week.  BC on the other hand… well they looked terrible.

Toronto @ Calgary: Monday, July 13 (9:00pm EDT)

Pick: Calgary

Game of the week for sure.  Calgary lost last week on the road but beating them at home is another story.  I also like the spread here with Toronto as 6 point underdogs, take ’em to cover.

Last Week

2-2.  A marginal improvement but it’s been a wacky two weeks.

Season

3-5.  Don’t panic yet, lot’s of football to be played.
