Updated with the rest of this week’s picks.
Last week went exactly as planned. This week should be fairly predictable as well with the exception of the Winnipeg/Calgary game where it’s likely the battle of the backups.
Edmonton (1-3) @ Montreal (1-3): Thursday, July 25 (7:30pm EDT)
Pick: Montreal
The Larks almost buried Calgary before collapsing in epic fashion last week. As soul crushing as that may have been they are playing a very bad Deadmonton team and have home field advantage. There isn’t much to like about the Eskimos except that they are playing a team with an equally bad record. Reilly hasn’t done much rallying of the troops lately either.
Calgary (3-1) @ Winnipeg (1-3): Friday, July 26 (8:00pm EDT)
Pick: Winnipeg!
Hufnagel is trying to play it close to his chest by saying the QB decision is a game day call. I’d say it’s a 95% certainty that Tate is not ready to play. Glenn sure isn’t so that leaves the #3, Mitchell, as the starter. On the Bomber’s side Goltz gets the nod in what can only be interpreted as an audition for the starter’s job. Bryant Turner is back and the Bombers are hungry for their first win at home. Take Blue to upset!
Saskatchewan (4-0) @ Hamilton (1-3): Saturday, July 27 (7:30pm EDT)
Pick: Saskatchewan
Pfffftt.
BC (3-1) @ Toronto (2-2): Tuesday, July 30 (7:30pm EDT)
Pick: BC
As of press time today we know nothing of Ricky’s status. It probably doesn’t matter anyway, BC beat them handily last time they met and although the Argos looked good last week it was against Winnipeg. Bet safe and take BC.
