You’re broke if you followed my plan last week.

Week 6 and Hamilton still doesn’t have their new house.  Hate to say I told you so.  Actually I don’t, it’s one of my favourite sayings.  As I write this from an airport bar at an unknown location on my way to tonight’s Bombers v Cats tilt I am rudely reminded via email that is no alcohol permitted in the stands of Ron Joyce Stadium.

Winnipeg @ Hamilton: Thursday, July 31 (7:00pm EDT)

Pick: Winnipeg

The five game skid ends tonight.  I like Winnipeg’s D way more than Hamilton’s rotating QB carousel (I hope that ride never leaves Hamilton).  Winnipeg should win on D alone, just like last week.

Toronto @ Montreal: Friday, August 1 (7:00pm EDT)

Pick: Toronto

Both of these teams rank at the bottom of the barrel, the difference is Ricky Ray vs Troy Smith.  Montreal is so desperate right now that they’ve brought the Don back.  This game would be much more entertaining if he were calling the plays since it’s showing all the signals of a sleeper.

BC @ Calgary: Friday, August 1 (10:0pm EDT)

Pick: Calgary

Calgary really isn’t playing all that well but found another way to win last week.  Eventually they are going to lose but bad Kevin isn’t going to be the knight that slays the dragon.

Saskatchewan @ Ottawa: Saturday, August 2 (7:00pm EDT)

Pick: Saskatchewan

Ottawa just isn’t good enough but we all wish them well.
