You bought a party pass right? YOU DID BUY A PARTY PASS RIGHT?
Good, because if you didn’t, they are sold out and you’re weekend is a lot more complicated and less fun. You may try your luck (day of) at the Convention Centre early. They might sell some at the door. Failing that, there’s an outdoor tailgate outside the Convention Centre as a consolation prize. Brrr.
Your plan this weekend is pretty straight forward. Hit the team parties. The recent trend has been to bundle them in the same location. It’s made things a lot easier and more enjoyable as a result.
Note of caution: The Grey Festival website is pretty awful this year and in some places conflicts with the printed guide. I’m not sure which to trust.

Thursday
You can try the Awards Gala at Club Regent Casino. However, I’ve done that and it’s not really much fun. I suggest Spirit of Edmonton. That’s always the busiest (though still thin) party on Thursday.
Friday
You can get a free meal at the Calgary Grey Cup Comittee Breakfast. It’s actually not bad for the price.
If you haven’t started already, your first drink is at Touchdown Manitoba, without question. No word if there’s a silent auction.
Go grab dinner downtown and head back in for the team parties. Spend time at Atlantic Schooners.
Saturday
If you have a ticket, then you’re doing the Spirit of Edmonton breakfast. I’ve never been able to peel myself off the mat early enough to do it myself.
You have another crack at TD MB if you missed it, usually it’s a one and done.
Best time to check out the street festival is mid afternoon. You should also really start drinking if you haven’t already.
Get your beer coat on and head into the team parties. Saturday is by far the biggest party night, get in early, there’s probably going to be lines!
Sunday
Duh. Game day!
There’s an indoor tailgate but that’s sold out. So you’re probably headed to the outdoor tailgate like me. Weather looks like it’ll be decent enough. See you in the beer line!
